Event Type and Set Up
There are several ways to plan your live screen printing event at no cost to you. Live screen printing works best for large events with the live printing being featured in a primary location of the event where folks will be mingling and "hanging out." Live screen printing can also be a great way to energize staff during corporate events and holiday parties of all sizes. Want us to come to an event or work celebration? When possible, we prefer to set up a day or 2 prior to the event. This allows us to test things ahead of time and make sure we are ready to rock the moment the event starts. In some cases, we may request to temporarily store the equipment for pick up a day later. When packed up, this only takes up about 6 square feet of space.
Location of Set up and Space Needed
The location of our set up should be in a high-focus “hang out” area where folks have the ability and are likely to watch and gather around. Depending on the event, we may set up one press or two to help maximize production speed for high-demand events. Physical space is important. We need a minimum of 12 square feet for 1 press and dryer and 15 square feet for 2 presses and 2 dryers.
Perfect conditions would be indoors and climate controlled. We have the ability to print outdoors, but weather may impact our ability to print. Rain, wind, high or low outdoor temperatures may prevent us from being able to produce. For outdoor events, we need to cancel or reschedule due to weather limitations.
Electrical Needs
In order to properly "cure" screen printing inks, we bring a portable conveyer dryer(s) to each event. After printing each shirt, it goes through the dryer and the ink is cured with the heat.
Our garment dryer draws a fair amount of amps, so if other high-usage items are plugged in at the same time, there is a possibility it may trip a breaker. We need access to a standard 110v (3-prong) outlet. This circuit should not be shared with other high-usage items (like speakers, heaters, curling irons, etc...) In the event a breaker is tripped, we will need a point of contact who has the ability to help us navigate to a new circuit, flip the breaker, or reduce usage by other items on that circuit.
Free Live Screen Printing
We will come print at your event at no cost to you! This means you have zero risk! All we ask is that you heavily promote the event and live screen printing by Special Tees as part of your marketing strategy. Events should anticipate around 500-1000 in attendance. In this scenario, we will partner with you on a great “limited edition” design that your target audience will thoroughly be pumped about! Our team will manage all the orders and sales. The best part about this is there is no cost to you and your brand will also continue to get exposure after. Live Screen Printing at Corporate Events

Pricing is based on a few factors: travel distance, length of time for the event, amount of units needed to be printed, and design concept(s). 4 hours is the perfect amount of time for live event screen printing. Printing Designs and Branding Details For Free Live Screen Printing
For all live screen printing events, the goal is to excite your audience and give them the opportunity to purchase a “limited edition” awesome design that becomes a keepsake and a favorite shirt! At live screen printing events we print 1-color designs on high-quality tee shirts and tank tops. For Free Live Screen Printing Events, let us know your design concept and we will create a custom design for free! We recommend having an in-person or phone touch base to review your vision and concept. This way we can review details and make sure the concept will translate perfectly to a great print at your event.
How Many Colors and Designs Can Be Printed
For live screen printing events, we print 1-color designs. One color can be any ink color on any shirt color. Some inks and shirt colors don't work well, but we can advise based on your design and vision. For most live screen printing events we print one design, but offer 1-2 different ink colors. We have the ability to print up to eight different designs at any event, but we have found 1-2 designs works best. If you want more than one free design, please let us know so we can get you a quote for multiple designs.
Design Concepts for Corporate Event Live Screen Printing
Want us to come up with a concept for your corporate event? Sure! We would be happy to partner with you on a design that compliments your company or organization. We recommend setting up a consultation so we can discuss your vision and goals. For corporate events, where the shirts are not for sale, there is a design fee. This would be based on the complexity of the design(s), how many designs wanted for the event, and any additional time for modifications or revisions to the design.
Printing designs created by others: Not every design translates properly for live screen printing events. If you have a designer helping, please schedule a consultation ahead of time so we review top tips to ensure their design translates properly for the event.
